It's indisputable: There are certain things that immediately amp up any man’s sex appeal. If he does possess any of these five things, it's an instant extra five points on any 10-point scale:
1. He plays the guitar. Studies actually show that guys who play the guitar are perceived as sexier than men who play any other instrument.
2. He wears a uniform. I’m partial to naval uniforms of the crisp and white variety—so was Rachel onFriends, if you’ll recall—but any tailored uniform will do.
3. He has an accent. British and Australian accents top my list, but there’s nothing wrong with a man who talks with an Irish lilt or rolls his “R” as only the French can do. When a man has an accent, it really doesn’t matter what he says—just keep him talking.
4. He loves animals. Specifically, yours. If a man makes an attempt to care for your pet, even your temperamental cat, I can promise he will melt your heart. Bonus points if he has his own dog.
5. He can cook. And I’m not talking about an ability to boil water and add pasta. I mean he can make amean chicken cacciatore or duck l’orange. The ability to make just one, incredible go-to meal is enough to make me want to stay for dessert.
