There are certain moments in dating when we do something we really wish we could undo; Facebook-stalking your ex's new girlfriend, rereading mushy emails he sent to you during the "good times," agreeing to go on a blind date that you know will be brutal, checking to see if the guy you just went on a date with logged in to Match.
com when he got home, and so forth.
"I once went into great detail about my (long-gone! Promise!) bed-bug infestation on a date. I may as well have said I had Ebola," confesses one staffer. Sometimes you just want to unsay something, undo something, or unsee something you just did. Am I right?
After polling our staff, here are the top five things they've instantly regretted:
"Why did I look at his phone screen the second the iMessage notice sounded?"
"Why did I read that old card from his ex-girlfriend?"
"Why didn't I wait a few more weeks before hitting 'Add Friend' on his mom's Facebook profile?"
"Why did I wear Spanx under this dress? Of course now I end up at his place..."
"Why did I have that third drink? Couldn't have just stopped at two?"
HA! I'm sure you can relate to at least one of those moments.
You knew as you were doing it that it wasn't a good idea.
