Nerd Wallet researched how couples view splitting the bill on dates, and it turns out most people are surprisingly old-fashioned. A full 77 percent of the 1,000 men and women polled think a guy should pay on the first date.
That doesn't mean all the financial burden is on the guy though: two-thirds of households split the bills in some way.
And 86 percent of the couples polled wouldn't make a big purchase without their partner's input. (To the 15 percent that would: you've either got nerves of steel or a really disposable income.)Check out the full infographic below for more info on who pays for what in relationships:
