Alexis and Ed, both firefighters, met while working at the Grand Canyon. This spring, the couple held their wedding ceremony on the mile-high cliffs of the South Rim, on a small peninsula surrounded by cliffs.

Sarah and Torsten met in Juneau, Alaska, and wed just a few miles away from the city in Mendenhall Glacier, an ice cave that's about 12 miles long.

Nina and Sebastian lived in Kenya for two years while working on a book about a pride of lions. They developed friendships with the local Maasai warriors, who took part in the ceremony. Nina wore anenkarewa, a beaded necklace traditional in Masaai weddings.
