But before you roll your eyes at this leaves-much-to-be-desired vernacular, please understand that it’s at least partially true—because if your man’s friends don’t like you, your relationship might already have an expiration date. So what’s a girl to do?

Instead, ask questions and share your thoughts. Showing genuine interest in what his friends have to say will go a long way.

In other words, consider your boyfriend and his band of friends as epic and inseparable as the Beatles should have been, and don’t do anything to wedge yourself between them or rip them apart. While this may sound like common sense, more women unconsciously commit this sin than they realize. So think twice before planning a date during the NBA finals, crashing an all-boys poker game or texting when you know he’s one-on-one with his BFF.
Bring backup—in the form of single friends. You'll score bonus points when you show up to his friends' house party with gorgeous girls as cool as you.
Not only can these ladies talk you up to his friends, but if sparks begin to fly, you can take credit for making the match.Show up with food. The way to a man's heart is through his stomach, and that doesn't apply just to your love interest. Whip up a goat cheese guacamole—trust me, you will thank me for this recipe later—for a healthful but seriously delicious game-day option, or invite his friends over for a fancier feast where you play hostess. They'll eat it (and you) up.
